POSITION: Film and Video Editor

NAME OF EMPLOYER: Abstraction Media Inc.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Edit and assemble raw material, including live show videos, footage, dialogue, sound effects, and graphics, into a polished final product for broadcasting and social media.

• Collaborate with camera operators and directors to align edits with project visions, focusing on comedic timing and Persian cultural nuances.

• Draft and upload captions in both English and Persian for social media and advertisements, ensuring readiness for publishing across various platforms.

• Use advanced video editing software to meet technical specifications and maintain high production values.

• Oversee camera operations and maintain video editing equipment, staying updated with the latest postproduction technologies.

• Direct studio production edits, demonstrating high proficiency in video and photo editing.

• Quickly resolve technical issues to maintain workflow during tight deadlines and live productions.

• Develop custom plug-ins and scripts to automate video editing tasks such as metadata tagging, trimming, and rendering, using editing platforms like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, in addition to programming tools such as Python, JavaScript, and Adobe Creative Cloud SDK.

• Implement solutions on editing systems for film post-production, social media content, and live events, requiring expertise in video editing, scripting, and workflow optimization.

In this regard:

1. The employee will create custom plug-ins and scripts to automate tasks, such as metadata tagging (for efficient organization of raw footage), trimming footage (to streamline editing workflows), and rendering (to optimize output for various platforms). These solutions are tailored to improve efficiency and consistency in video editing processes.

2. Tools, equipment, and experience the employee will use: a. Tools and Software: The employee will use advanced video editing platforms like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve, along with programming tools such as Python, JavaScript, and Adobe Creative Cloud SDK. b. Equipment: High-performance editing systems and external media servers are essential for implementing these solutions effectively. c. Experience: This role requires expertise in video editing, automation scripting, and workflow optimization to handle the demands of post-production and live event editing environments.

3. Areas, fields, and industries in which the employee will work: The employee will work in:

a. Film Post-Production: Editing and assembling video content for films, TV series, and broadcasts.

b. Social Media Content Creation: Optimizing video content for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

c. Live Event Production: Preparing and editing video for real-time or near-real-time distribution during live events.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

 Bachelor’s degree in film and media or computer engineering (hardware or software)

 Fluent in Persian, with comprehensive knowledge of cultural nuances crucial for producing Persian comedy content.

 Proficient in drafting engaging captions in Persian and English, with cultural competence.

 Ability to significantly enhance storytelling through advanced video editing and a deep understanding of narrative techniques.

 Strong leadership and communication abilities, essential for team collaboration and managing high-pressure environments.

 Expertise in digital technologies, video editing software, and advanced technical systems, with a solid understanding of computing principles.

Salary: $ 123,802.00 per year Hours: Full time, 40 hours/week
